The second ethical storytelling webinar in our training module, “Storyteller Ethical Storytelling: How To” includes tangible ways you can incorporate ethical practices into preparing to go into the field, working in the field and finalizing your story. Our panelists share their experiences from the perspective of writing, photography and filmmaking. 

Panelists Include: 

Constance Dykhuizen: Constance is the executive director of JP’s Peace, Love & Happiness Foundation where she manages partnerships and grants. In addition, she is a brand strategy and marketing consultant for organizations like LIFT International and Global Child Advocates that protect trafficked, migrant and refugee people. Constance produces content, strategy and branding to help organizations discover their voice and communicate who they are. 

Gabriele Casini: Gabriele François Casini is a French-Italian documentary photographer and video producer. After a BA cultural anthropology and a master’s degree in international relations, Gabriele started working in the emergency humanitarian sector, where he discovered his proclivity and passion for photography and video production. His time with organizations such as Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and Save the Children brought him to various contexts around the world, including South Sudan, DRC and Iraq. 

Adam Sjoberg: Adam’s extensive global travel documenting culture, conflict, and human interest stories from dozens of countries around world has given him an eye for moments of authentic humanity and connection. Adam has directed and produced two feature documentary films, “Shake the Dust” and “I Am Sun Mu.” His vision as a documentarian and ability to adapt to challenging shooting environments, from disaster zones to Madison Square Garden, have led to collaborations with brands like Starbucks, Belvedeer, Warby Parker, The One Campaign, and Whole Foods, among others.
